Earning ItTerms of Service
1. Agreeing to these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Earning It ("we", "us", "our"), operated from Australia. By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or otherwise using the Earning It app or earningitapp.com (together, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
2. What Earning It is (and isn't)
Earning It is a motivation and goal-tracking tool: you create rewards, attach tasks, savings targets, waiting periods or abstain commitments to them, and track your own progress until you choose to claim the reward.
Earning It is for motivation and entertainment purposes only. It is not medical, health, fitness, nutrition, psychological, financial or investment advice; it is not a medical device, a diagnosis, a treatment, or a substitute for professional care. Any example rewards, goals or amounts shown in the app or on the website are illustrative only. Consult a qualified professional before starting any exercise or diet program or making financial decisions. References to research (including ADHD-related research) are general information only. You use the Service, and pursue any goal, entirely at your own risk.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent where you live).
- Keep your login details secure — you're responsible for activity on your account.
- Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
- You can permanently delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete Account (see the Privacy Policy).
4. Subscriptions & purchases
- Earning It offers a 30-day free trial, then either an auto-renewing annual subscription (A$29.99/year) or a one-time lifetime purchase — currently at a founders price of A$99.99, available for a limited time only (the lifetime price may increase after the founders period ends; any lifetime purchase you have already made is unaffected). Prices are in Australian dollars; your store may show local pricing, and prices may change with notice.
- All payments are processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play — we never see your payment details.
- Auto-renewal: the annual subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel any time in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings — deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription.
- Free trial: if a trial converts to a paid subscription, you'll be charged by the store at the start of the paid period unless you cancel before the trial ends.
- Refunds are handled by Apple and Google under their policies — request them through the store you purchased from. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-excludable rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable consumer protection laws.
5. Your content
You own the rewards, notes and images you create. You grant us a limited licence to store, process and display that content back to you — that's what makes the app work, and it's the only thing we use it for. You're responsible for your content; don't upload anything unlawful or that infringes someone else's rights.
6. Acceptable use
- Don't misuse the Service — no reverse engineering, scraping, reselling, interfering with its operation, or attempting to access other people's data.
- Don't use the Service for anything unlawful.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
7. The Service is provided "as is"
We work hard to keep Earning It reliable, but to the fullest extent permitted by law the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose, or that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Back up anything you can't afford to lose.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Where liability can't be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or, where the law allows, re-supply of the Service). Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
9. Ending or changing the Service
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may modify features, or suspend or discontinue the Service; if we discontinue it entirely we'll give reasonable notice where practicable. We may also update these Terms — the effective date above will change, material updates will be flagged in the app, and continued use means acceptance.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Australian courts, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
